[5] Transportation (TR)
[5.4] Vehicle Population
The number of vehicles, both cars and motorbikes, based on the population on the Esa Unggul University campus, is currently under control.
Moreover, the pandemic and post-pandemic have been very helpful in realizing the green campus program, especially in creating restrictions on motorized vehicles in the campus environment.
We continue to carry out several programs and campaigns to limit vehicles for the entire Esa Unggul University academic community, whether in the form of seminars, workshops, green campus campaigns, as well as other events that are held, so that the expected results can be realized into a green campus.
[5.5] Shuttle Services
Currently, the shuttle service operating at 3 campuses in Jakarta, Tangerang and Bekasi serves the pick-up and drop-off mobilization of students and lecturers who will carry out lectures, practicums and other student activities, as well as lecturer teaching activities according to a predetermined schedule in each semester. This pick-up and drop-off is provided by the University on a regular basis and is free of charge.
This semester, because lectures are 60% offline, student and lecturer pick-up and drop-off activities are already busy, so on certain days we provide additional buses rented from bus providers to accommodate lecture and practicum activities according to this semester’s schedule, students and lecturers can see the overall mobilization schedule for shuttle vehicle departures in each shuttle vehicle or you can contact the Housekeeping department which manages the operation of the shuttle vehicle.

[5.9] Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) Policy on Campus
Esa Unggul University has a policy regarding emission-free vehicles through a Chancellor’s Decree by carrying out various activity programs as a form of implementation in realizing an environmentally friendly campus and providing emission-free vehicles, namely several bicycles for student activities that can get around for free. campus environment, then for operational activities of campus security officers in carrying out security and control duties in the campus environment, we provide special zero-emission vehicles in the form of bicycles which are specifically intended for security personnel.
Currently we are also collaborating with one of the electric vehicle providers, namely Beam Mobility Indonesia, which is intended to be an alternative transportation that can support the mobility of students and teaching staff from the main building to the special class building on the Tangerang campus which is 3.7 km away so that it becomes an alternative means of mobilizing students. students and teaching staff.
Then there is also a special bicycle parking area to accommodate up to 40 bicycles. In this bicycle parking area we also provide special bathroom facilities for bicycle users when they want to shower and change clothes.
From these conditions, it can be seen that we are trying to always implement sustainable programs in realizing a zero emission policy, so that we feel that several students are already using personal electric motorbikes for daily transportation to campus.
[5.13] Ratio of Parking Area to Total Campus Area
Comparison of the number of parking spaces available for both motorbikes and cars to the campus land area at the Kebon Jeruk Campus, Bekasi Campus, and Tangerang Campus. This year there has been a reduction in the parking area on each campus, due to the increase in the number of students each year, so we need additional space. class by building a special 2-story modular classroom by taking up the existing parking area to meet class needs.
Therefore, by building this modular class, we have indirectly reduced the parking area.
As for the reduction in parking space, after the typical modular classroom was built on each campus, the reduced area was 500 meters on the Tangerang and Bekasi campuses, for the Jakarta campus it was 950 meters, so it was enough to reduce our parking area.
Total main campus area Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi = 86.117 m2
Total parking area = 7.963 m2
Ratio = 0.092
[5.14] Transportation Program
The transportation program campaigned by Esa Unggul University to limit or reduce vehicle parking areas in the campus area is to jointly follow the government regulations of the capital city of DKI Jakarta which have been proclaimed and even apply on weekends in other areas such as tourist areas, where the program is the application of odd vehicles. Evens are based on the date and vehicle number plate, so this program will help reduce the number of residents, and reduce the capacity of vehicle parking areas every day, so that the reduced parking space can be used for other activities.
With a program like this, we hope that residents can comply so that on odd or even days where entry is prohibited they can use online transportation services.
This program has been running for the last 3 years and is quite capable of reducing land use or parking spaces by between 10 and 30 percent.
Next, we prepared several bicycles for students and the academic community to use for mobilization around the campus for free using the existing scheme, some bicycle users even used them outside the campus area to buy food and drinks.
[5.15] Number of Transportation Initiatives to Decrease Private Vehicles on Campus
To reduce the vehicle population in the Esa Unggul University environment in launching the green campus movement, there are several Transportation Program design initiatives launched at Esa Unggul University by launching a program or campaign to help reduce air pollution and reduce the vehicle population on campus, and the program applies to all society, namely:
a.The Let’s use bus program is a public transportation program provided for students, both practicum and cross-campus learning activities with predetermined routes and schedules, as well as for lecturers who will teach on their respective campuses so that the academic community can use this program without using private vehicles.
b. The next program is a campaign to help reduce air pollution by using public transportation, pollution-free transportation such as bicycles by building bicycle communities in each campus.
c. The third program is the odd-even implementation program based on the number of vehicles, this program in addition to following the government program in reducing the number of vehicles on the road, is used on campus as a program to reduce the vehicle population.
[5.16] Pedestrian Path Policy on Campus
The pedestrian paths at Esa Unggul University have been arranged in such a way that they are friendly,
beautiful to look at and designed for the safety and comfort of all road users, including students, lecturers, staff and even guests on each campus. they are given instructions or guidance for pedestrians, even safety instructions if an unexpected incident occurs, namely we have provided emergency road directions to the gathering point and we have also formed a special emergency response task force team in each campus unit.
Several sections are also equipped with facilities for people with disabilities, ranging from vehicle parking, special lanes, to toilets, so that delivery people with disabilities feel comfortable and safe while on campus.
We hope that the entire academic community and visitors will feel comfortable and safe while on campus.
